Booking Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 2026

This contract (the "Agreement") is entered into by and between DJ Stefan (trading under BODY AND STRENGTH TRAINING PTY LTD, ABN 11 165 034 453) (the "Company"), and the Client.

1. Services & Music

The Company agrees to provide DJ services for the event specified in the Booking Agreement.

While the Company will attempt to play all Client requests, the DJ retains the right to exercise discretion in music selection to maintain the safety and enjoyment of all guests. The DJ will adhere to any "Do Not Play" lists provided by the Client.

2. Deposit

The Client shall pay a deposit of $100 upon booking the Company's services. This deposit is non-refundable unless the DJ cancels, in which case it will be fully refunded, and will be applied towards the total agreed price due for the services.

In the event that the Client decides to rehire the Company for a future event, the deposit may be transferred to a later date if a cancellation occurs.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • If the Client cancels more than one calendar month (30 days) before the event, the deposit is forfeited but may be transferable to a future booking at the Company’s discretion.
  • Cancellations within 14 days require payment of the full agreed price.
  • If the DJ cancels due to unavoidable circumstances, a full refund will be issued, and the Company will assist in finding a replacement if possible.

4. Safe Working Environment & Weather

The Client shall provide a safe working environment for the DJ's employees while on the premises. This includes ensuring the DJ is not subjected to harassment or abusive behavior.

Weather Protection: For outdoor events, the Client must provide adequate overhead shelter (marquee or solid structure) to protect equipment from rain, moisture, and direct sunlight. The Company reserves the right to pause performance if weather poses a safety risk to staff or electrical equipment.

If the Client or their guests engage in abusive behavior, or if the environment is deemed unsafe, it may be necessary for the DJ to terminate the performance. The DJ will not be held liable for any losses or damages resulting from the termination, nor will they be obligated to refund any portion of the fee.

5. Logistics & Hospitality

  • Access: The Client shall provide convenient access to a close parking area at the venue for the purpose of unloading and loading equipment.
  • Power: The Client must ensure a safe 240v power outlet is available within 5 meters of the setup area.
  • Meals: For bookings exceeding 4 hours (including setup time), the Client agrees to provide a standard vendor meal and non-alcoholic beverages for the DJ/Operator.

6. Damage to Equipment

The Client shall be liable for any damage caused by the Client or their guests to the Company's equipment during the event (e.g., spilled drinks, accidental impact). The Client agrees to pay the cost of repair or replacement for damaged items.

7. Overtime

If the event runs longer than the agreed-upon time, the Client shall pay $40 per half hour for any additional time by the conclusion of the event. This is subject to the DJ's availability and discretion.

8. Payment Schedule

The Client shall pay the full agreed price prior to the event, as detailed in the invoice provided by the Company. Payment must be received by the due date specified on the invoice; late payment is not an option.

9. Media Release

The Company may take photos or short video clips of the event (focusing on the crowd/atmosphere) for promotional use on the DJ Stefan website and social media channels. If the Client does not wish for this to occur, they must inform the Company in writing prior to the event.

10. Legal Terms

This Agreement is binding and shall be interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia.
